BH Tungsten Grinders was established in 1996 to become the sole UK importer from Denmark of the patented NEUTRA tungsten electrode grinder. The NEUTRA wet grinding system in a fully enclosed chamber gave 100% assurance that no tungsten electrode dust, including that from the slightly radioactive thoriated electrodes, could not enter the welder’s environment. NEUTRA produced accurate angles and found success across the TIG welding market, including fabrications in titanium, high alloy steels and stainless steels.

The product range of tungsten grinders is now headed by the ULTIMA-TIG model and has expanded to include several models intended for specific market sectors.

The activities of BH Tungsten Grinders in the TIG welding market brought sole UK rights to SCHNORRER gas purging equipment, another Danish and mainly patented product range. SCHNORRER products are very robust and used for the welding of pipes and tubes from 13mm diameter to 1 metre diameter, with a welding environment purity well below 50ppm of oxygen, usually in only 2.5 minutes. Time and argon gas savings ensure early payback.

The SCHNORRER range is amongst the widest in the world, with many special designs, and is extensively used for critical work in the nuclear, electronic, food and pharmaceutical industries.

The BYMAT Stainless Steel Cleaners entered the BH Tungsten Grinder product range in 2001 to compliment the other products and their applications in the stainless steel market. The cleaners are easy to use and are very effective in removing heat discoloration and other marks that diminish the appearance of the finished fabrications, especially those that will be in the public eye. The BYMAT range will also emboss logos and part numbers etc on to all conductive surfaces.
